Bam listened to her and his hands sat on his hips as he watched her. He really wished he had his skateboard now... But that was back at base, so he backed up as much as he could, ran forward and felt himself picking up speed before doing what he'd done often during the run up to sports day at school, which is when they would do long jump, and he jumped before he just about landed. His toes were all that was holding him on and he fell forward. His hands didn't manage to break his fall and he face planted the roof. He gave a small yelp, that was loud enough to cover any noises, and he turned before standing.
Bam's nose was bleeding when he stood up and he looked at Melissa, not noticing the blood for a moment before he felt it beginning to run over his lips. He spat it away and wiped his sleeve across his face. He had no idea whether or not his nose was broken, but he was sure that it would hurt if it was... Hm, maybe Melissa would know?
"Sweets, next time you want t'jump, don't." He requested, grinning and spat out some more blood before pushing his hair out of his eyes and moving over to her. He hugged her and wriggled. "So, yah... Now what?"

Melissa was wiping down her palms on her thighs as she watched and waited. Brandon was going to jump, so she needed to figure something. Where could they go next? They couldn't keep jumping onto buildings, no no, they'd fall. She'd only just managed that jump, and didn't fancy any broken bones. The blonde had already had enough with a shot in the shoulder, and was determined to deter any other injuries. To either of them. So perhaps they'd have to get down, and run behind the buildings. Or steal something. The point of jumping buildings had been to have an escape route down the road below. If they had jumped down, they could have been heard by the SMILE operative her company had seen. And she was pretty sure that they, whomever they were, would have called for backup and they would have had a fight on their hands.
Looking up, Melissa saw Bam jumping. Her chest clenched in anticipation. She didn't want to be responsible for his injuries, perhaps death, were he to fall. So she was glad when he made it. Even if she couldn't withhold a snort of laughter as he hit the floor face first. There was concern in her body as she watched him stand. His nose looked battered, she sighed and shook her head.
She didn't know what was up with his nose though, so simply smirked and spoke. "Look on the bright side, girls love a scar." She grinned, just as she was embraced by a hug. Melissa didn't think his nose would scar, though. The blonde hugged Brandon before taking a step back. Carefully thinking over the options once more. "I say, down and away." She gestured somewhere into the air. "I figure we could make it to somewhere safe. Hopefully Base, but you never know with these things. Might have to find somewhere to hole up for a while. There's only so much stamina in a body.." She gabbled, looking out over the rooftops.

Bam pouted, not really caring if his nose scarred and he spat some more blood out once they'd stopped hugging. He nodded along with her spoken thoughts and looked around when she'd finished rambling about something that Bam wasn't paying attention to.
"If we need t'hide some place, we could always break int'an empty flat or sum'p. S'not hard t'get in... Just break a window and climb... Or kick down the door." He shrugged then looked over the edge of the building. "But, looks like we'll be good t'leg it." He told her and glanced over at her before wiping his bloody nose on his sleeve again and he trotted over to her rather cheerfully, though not with a grin or the like on his face, for once.
Stretching his arms over his head, he snorted out blood from his nose and frowned before giggling. "Mister Bossy's gunna kill me..." He mumbled happily, though why he should be happy about that was anyone's guess, really... He didn't explain why the man would kill Bam, however, and just settled for giggling about it for a moment more before his expression went completely serious.

Rubbing her chin in thought, Melissa nodded her head. "Yeah, I could do with a breather. Maybe wash up my shoulder a bit." She shrugged, looking over the buildings. "There are some okay places, mind if I leave it to you to break in? Not that I'm not capable, but my shoulder is hindering me." She explained with a warm and friendly smile. A real one, not the frightened, crack in the mirror smile.
Listening to him, and watching him, she looked away from his nose. "Uh, who's Mister Bossy?" Melissa asked, chuckling a little. She figured whoever Bossy was was a Rebel, but hey, perhaps it was someone Bam knew more personally. Who knew, he did, that's why she had asked.
Looking up to the sky, she frowned. "Do you reckon we should bed down for the night?" Melissa asked, she liked staying indoors at night and didn't want to be out in the open running back to base. No matter how cool it may have looked, Melissa was one to stay safe at night.

Bam nodded at her words, then grinned at her question. He loved breaking into places... It was always fun... Cause some good old destruction...
"Sure, I don't mind breakin' int'places." He shrugged and then giggled at her question about Mr Bossy and sighed. "You don't know Vernon Bossy? Self-appointed leader and basically rule enforcing... Force... At Head Quarters..." He told her and stretched his arms above his heads.
At her third question, Bam shrugged. "If we can... If SMILE comea knockin', though..." He shrugged again and kept his hands on his hips, no longer bothering with the blood from his nose and he turned to look around, curiosity forcing him to look around, to ensure they wouldn't be snuck up on by SMILE...

"Sure thing, then. I'll let you do that, if you don't mind it." She smiled, then grabbed his arm and began to look around for anywhere to go. "I don't really know Bossy, I stray away from superiors of the Rebel base." Melissa continued to smile. She was a genuine person, or so she liked to believe. She hoped her friendliness never really came off as false, or shadowed.
Sweeping her hair out of her face with her free hand, she sighed. "Righto, what are we waiting for?"

Bam didn't comment on her talking about letting him break into a place, but raised his eyebrows at her words about not really knowing Vernon. If only Bam didn't know Mr V. Bossy... How much more fun Bam would have while running around the Rebellion HQ...
"I wish I could stray away from them... Unfortunately, Mr V. Bossy likes t'keep an eye on me... I have yet t'figure out if it's a perverted thing or not..." He told her, grinned softly, and heard her question. He then shrugged. "I have no idea... Christmas, maybe?" He asked her and his grin widened before he looked around again. In all honesty, Bam was rather amused by his answer to her question... He did so like to humour himself with the occasional oddity of an answer... Was always more fun for him than actually answering properly was...
He then looked at her and looked around again. "So, where are we goin', anyways?"

Melissa glanced at him, and snorted. "I wouldn't blame him if it were perverted," she mumbled, almost to herself as she let a hand roam through the pale blonde mop that rested upon her head. Looking him up and down, she shrugged and thought to herself 'wouldn't kick him outta bed'. Then blinked, rather shocked at her own behavior. Though she hadn't voiced it, Melissa was never one for thoughts like that. Because she always had other things on her mind.
Coughing slightly, she looked around, for somewhere decent to stay. There were buildings reaching the sky, and some cowering in the shadows of allies. "Let's go somewhere you think normal people won't be able to get into. We don't want any interruptions from SMILE." She mumbled ashamedly. Why were so many inappropriate thoughts going through her head? Shaking her head roughly, she left the choice up to him, all after having a vivid mental image of Brandon dressed as Santa Clause and herself as an elf. Well, at least that was fairly normal.
Normal?
No, that was weird. "I need a smoke," she decided, hoping that would clear her mind as she huffed to herself quietly.

Bam raised an eyebrow at her and stepped away from her a little, subtly, before looking around again and coughing, obviously rather uncomfortable now.
"We should get t'the ground..." He mused. "It'll be easier to figure out what buildin's would be better for hidin' in." He continued, but didn't say much more. He did think, though. He was thinking that being on the ground would mean that they could see things how SMILE, or a Citizen, would see things. No one would actually go searching for Rebellion members... Not even SMILE... Normally, they could find enough Rebellion members without actually having to look for them.
Not making any comments about her words, Bam looked around and began looking for a way to get down to ground level. With any luck, there was an easy way down and the pair of escapee Rebellion members would be able to search for a proper place for them to hide in for the night...

"Sure thing, choose where we're going and go there. I'm right behind you." She smiled warmly, deciding that it was best to keep her mouth shut from any other thoughts that may have flooded her mind. Hey, she was tired, it was going to be hard to keep quiet and hushed for the time being.
"So, if we find a place near ground, that'll mean we have an easier escape route from safety hazards like fires, and of course SMILE." Melissa spoke to herself, rubbing her chin as she looked at him. Waiting for him to make his decision.

Bam nodded at her and looked over the edge of the building they were on. There were window sills that, if they wanted to, they could use for a hard way down... But, it was better than just jumping... Bam suspected that jumping would probably kill them... And that would not be good. No sir. Not at all.
"Okay... So... Either we can jump down there, and hopefully land on something t'soften our fall, or..." He looked at her with a small grin. "We could climb down and hope t'God that no one notices two Rebels using their windows as a ladder."
He then burst out laughing at the thought of them walking across a window sill and someone seeing them. Well, it would be funny... Would be bloody brilliant. Definitely be interesting, as well... Maybe Bam should go down without any trousers and boxers on! Hell, that would get a reaction... Though Bam wasn't sure whether it would be from someone seeing them or from Melissa, so he decided to not do that.

"I say we climb down, but I'm going to go ahead and personally opt for the fire escape there." Melissa smirked and stepped past him. The blonde was heading over to the fire escape whether or not he followed her. Melissa didn't want to be up there forever. She flipped her hair, rather like that 'bitch at the top of the class that knows everything' would. Then, stood up on the edge of the fire escape she looked down. It was a dizzying height, it really was. If she had a choice, she would have gone back, rewound, chosen a different route. But as it was, Melissa had dug her grave and was going to lay in it.
With a heave and a sigh, she turned around and hopped down the first few steps of the long, rickety, old iron ladder. It felt stable enough, so she continued to climb down. Even with some nuts and bolts creaking as she went down the apparently very unused ladder, it didn't stop her. It comforted her to know that if she kept going then she was getting closer and closer to the end of the day. And hopefully somewhere nice to relax.

Bam nodded at her, not looking at Melissa and so not seeing her hair flick. He followed her to the fire escape after a moment or two. He then waited until she was almost off before deciding to join her. He didn't think that the ladder would do too well with two people on it, and he waited until she had gotten off of the ladder before he, while still on the top rungs, took his top off, wrapped two parts out of around his hands and gripped the outside of the ladder tightly before grinning and jumping.
Gravity pushed him down, and the lack of real friction on the ladder made him go quickly. When he was almost at the bottom of the ladder, Bam let go and landed on the floor, crouched down. He then sat for a moment to pull his top back on and stood with a slight bounce. He turned to her, and stretched his arms above his head.
"C'mon." He said cheerfully and began to wander off, going into another alley that led away from the main road. The red haired boy strolled through the alleys, seemingly knowing where he was going. In reality, he had no idea where he was going, but he was quite happy to just make her think he knew. Muchly easier, you see.

Melissa wasn't the most agile of people, and therefore her ability to climb down a ladder quietly was pretty much non-existent. So, her descent was consisting mostly of clattering noises, grunts and pained noises. From scraping her elbows or pinching her fingers. Little trivial things that might hurt a person, but not enough to actually stall them from doing something.
Eventually, after a few slips and one or two catches, she made her way to the ground and moved away from the ladder. Not far enough away that she wouldn't be able to catch Bam if he fell, but not close enough that he could kick her in the face if he climbed down. Melissa was actually quite shocked by his irrational form of coming down a ladder. She was also glad that she wasn't stood directly by the ladder, as some rungs flew off of it, only to clatter noisily around the base of the steps. In all though, Melissa was impressed. She didn't voice any of her opinions though and just shook her head, somewhat amused by him.
Assuming he knew where he was headed, Melissa shrugged her sagging shoulders and followed along behind him. There was nothing to say he had no idea where he was going, as he seemed pretty aware of his surroundings, so the blonde woman had no doubts in him. "Where are we headed, captain?"

While walking, Bam wondered whether or not she realised that he had no idea as to where they were. She didn't seem to, judging by the question she presented to him, and he looked at her, grinning, and shrugged.
"No idea." He told her cheerfully and began skipping softly. Him admitting that he had no idea where they were going didn't mean that he didn't have an idea as to where they should go. It just meant that he didn't know where they were at the moment. Two completely different things... Or, at least, Bam saw them as two completely different things...
Linking one of his arms with one of hers, Bam began trying to drag her in the direction they were going, before he stopped outside a building and unlinked their arms. He then skipped over to the building and looked in the window. He didn't know whether there was anyone inside or not, so he merely looked in the window, before he realised something...
Didn't the Napiers live around here?
Probably not, but it was worth a shot? Right? To go and look for them? Probably not...
Turning to Melissa, Bam looked around.
"We stickin' 'round, or we gunna wander some more?"

Melissa blinked and stared. He didn't know where they were going? That could pose some questions, and Melissa was a little shocked but that was how things went sometimes, she supposed. Especially if one hung around with crazy people. Then she herself could perhaps become a crazy person. She didn't doubt that she wasn't already a little insane. Melissa rubbed the back of her neck as she thought about this, walking along side Brandon as their arms became linked. As he skipped off, Melissa followed after him. Partially tugged along by him while their arms remained in contact. Melissa stood by the window and looked inside also, exploring with her eyes the world that lay behind the glass. Melissa through the looking glass, haha. It seemed like a nice enough place. Empty, too. "I say, we bed down here, possibly get a change of clothes and then wander off. Or stay in, we'll see how we feel once inside." Melissa suggested, feeling that she'd made a sensible enough opinion on the subject. She was trusting herself to be sensible now, considering Bam didn't seem the most sane. Hah, he would probably be the Cheshire Cat.
Melissa leaned back and looked around to see if there were any people watching. Or if they were incredibly unlucky, the owners of the house.
