Spencer finally pulled himself together, persisting himself to quit looking at him. It wasn't right at all and even more so that Bam was much too young. He felt dirty and unclean - completely void of all his morals. There was a bad taste in his mouth that made him want to immediately run into a bar and down a couple shots of vodka on ice. All of this sudden interaction was making him feel dizzy, but he willed himself to keep steady on his feet and took a rather large puff from the cigarette held between thumb and index. As he exhaled the smoke seemed to form an impenetrable cloud of gray between the three of them.
The smoke was a little too much and Spencer expelled a short cough. His head cocked to the side a bit, seeing Melissa throw the ball behind her and proceed to chase after it. He raised a brow, looking to Bam questioningly, then shrugged. "I'm going to a bar. You're welcome to come. Hell, you might even get the chance to blow something up," he laughed, flicking the long ash from his cigarette. "I need to pick up more smokes too." Spencer extended an arm, petting Kilo's head in gentle strokes. Kilo's probably still hungry too, he thought silently to himself.

Bam still hadn't noticed, because he was completely oblivious, and saw Melissa run- um... Wobble? -off. Bam made a noise, kind of like 'nmelisyoucan'tfuckin'.' but it may have just been Bam trying to speak, and failing. After Melissa had gone round the corner, Bam looked at Spencer and noticed the questioning expression. Bam shrugged as well and looked behind him, mumbling a small 'bitch' as he did so before looking at Spencer again.
At the older man's words, Bam nodded and smirked before running a hand through his hair and puffing on the cigarette once more before throwing it on the ground. He didn't bother with stamping it out and, instead, blew the smoke out into the road before looking at Spencer.
"Where to?" He asked once the other guy had finished talking, and he very almost clung to Spencer's arm, but decided that clinging to the guy's arm would just be far too strange for a first meeting... As if hugging the man hadn't been odd enough...

Spencer smiled sheepishly and flicked the cigarette clear across the street. He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his blue denim jeans and turned to walk down the sidewalk. "I seen a little place about a block away, a bar that is," he said, shifting to look at him briefly. "That alright with you?" he asked. That question probably didn't need to be answered. He figured the boy would probably just go about anywhere if it involved indecency and, well, the explosions he mentioned. Kilo trotted a little ways behind them, her tongue dangling from her mouth and ears shot forward listening for anything that might prove dangerous.
Just as Spencer rounded the corner, a small neon sign lit up the sidewalk a few feet away and he brought up his pace. He was most grateful for the sight because now getting a hold of that drink was all he could think about, distracting him from the pink hair and its owner. Kilo ran forward to sit outside of the bar's door and instead chose to lie down, her body spent from the all the walking they'd done that previous day. Spencer took a look at his watch. 1 AM? He opened the door, waving a hand in front of him to gesture that Bam should go in first, a smile pulling the corners of his lips.

Bam shrugged. He didn't care where they went, really, just so long at the other guy knew where it was. Bam then walked a tiny bit behind the older of the two and wished that he'd thought to put a hoodie on before he'd gone out... At least then he could've worn the hood up... As if that would suddenly make him inconspicuous...
His gaze attracted by the neon light, Bam squinted a little at the brightness and kept his head down, expecting the other person to go into the bar first. However, Spencer gestured for Bam to go first and Bam acted almost bashful, shy even, for a moment before he threw his head back and cackled loudly as he walked through the door.
Once inside, Bam didn't pay any attention to what the bar looked like inside but, instead, turned around and pecked Spencer on the cheek, merely to see what his reaction would be, before Bam bounded over to the actual bar and put his hands on the edge of it to stop himself face planting it.
"C'mon Darlin'! You're payin'." He yelled back at the other guy and, leaning on the bar as best he could, Bam put one hand on his hip and looked at Spencer with a look of complete impatience on his face, along with a slight pout and he tried to move his hair by flicking his head, but failed and just ended up with more of his fringe in his face, so his pout turned sulking and he turned, leaned on the bar, and stuck his arse out.

As if the night couldn't have startled or disorientated him more, Spencer was slightly shocked when Bam laughed as loud as he did and even more shocked by the peck he placed on his cheek. Flush began rising to his cheeks as he stood there with the door still wide open. Clearly a little confused and probably some other emotions, Spencer entered into the bar rubbing the back of his neck in slight embarrassment - more for the reason that Bam had the audacity to do what he'd done.
C'mon Darlin'. You're payin'. Spencer tried to just simply smile but ended up grinning widely. "Planned on it," he said, nearing the stool next to him. Hesitating with a thought in mind he called to the bartender. "Cherry vodka on the rocks please, and whatever this one wants." Spencer put his hand on Bam's shoulder and squeezed it gently as he sat down to wait for the drinks, placing his pack of cigarettes on the bar in front of him.

Bam leaned over the bar while waiting and pouted when the bartender came over. Spencer ordered and Bam jumped onto a stool, palms of his hands planted firmly on the bar top before he decided and blurted out the first thing that came to mind, which happened to be rum... Why he'd decided that, Bam had no idea, then realised that he'd been thinking of pirates... Ahh, such joys... Pirates, that is...
Now hyper, Bam pressed his cheek to Spencer's shoulder and sighed heavily, tempted to tell Spencer that he was bored but not wanting to whine... Instead, he began thinking.
"I wonder if rum's flammable..." He thought aloud and began fiddling with his small, black and yellow striped lighter. Bam then face planted the bar and giggled.
Eh, he was cheerful, at least...

Spencer laughed. "It is indeed highly flammable," he mused, whispering this to Bam as the boy put his cheek on his shoulder. He should have caught it before but it was only beginning to ring clear that perhaps Bam was not straight at all. It should have been obvious considering the kiss, but Spencer had only thought of him as being friendly. He began to fidget and twirl his thumbs as he waiting for their orders. Finally, when the bartender seemed to be taking too long for his liking he opened the pack of cigarettes, pulled one out and lit it. He glanced subtly at Bam, then looked quickly away when the bartender shoved their drinks in front of them. The look on his face was one of bewilderment as if shared the same knowledge Spencer had about Bam.
"Thanks," he said and downed the glass in a few short gulps. He sat the glass down loudly onto the bar and waved a hand in the air signaling for another one. The bartender grunted and strode over to pick up the glass, walking off to refill it. Spencer got up and strolled over to the cigarette vending machine on the edger of the left wall where pool tables neighbored each other in two rows of three. He sighed as he stood in front of the wide variety of cigarettes, noting there was only one pack of menthol left in one of the slots. Spencer pressed the button rather hard and nearly jammed his thumb in the process. Sometimes he wished he could just quit smoking. "You die how you live," he mumbled as he picked up the back through the flap of the vending machine.
Turning, Spencer looked back at Bam with a barely suppressed laugh and shook his head. What exactly was he getting himself into? Now, striding back to the stool and sitting down, he realized his drink had been replenished and swallowed that one, too, down a bit harshly. It stung his throat but it was serving its purpose. He was already feeling warm in his stomach as tipsiness settled. Suddenly, without thinking, Spencer asked a question. "With something like this going on, wouldn't there be a rebellion of some sort?" It was only human nature. If even a handful of individuals decided they didn't like the presence of such authority, they would surely not obey. Just like a child being insubordinate to a parent's rules.

Bam nodded at Spencer's musings and fiddled with his lighter some more before grabbing an empty, and as of now in use, glass and pouring a little rum in it, not noticing Spencer wander off and, once the bartender had left again, Bam lit up the small amount of rum and sipped at the rum while watching the flames.
Bam looked up when Spencer got back and watched the older of the pair down his drink, again, before Bam shook his head and swirled what was left of his rum, a small mouthful, before pouring it into the flames... Bam said nothing and looked up sharply when the other guy asked his question. The bartender looked at the pair warningly and Bam silently nodded.
"Of course there is, Darlin'..." He spoke softly, blowing out the fire and drinking whatever rum was left in the glass. He then looked at Spencer and paused for a moment before standing up on his stool and whistling at the bartender. He then leaned down and whispered in Spencer's ear: "Who d'ya think ya talkin' t'?" He raised his eyebrows in a small look of knowledge and sitting back down. Bam thanked the bartender with a smile when he came back and sipped at his rum. "But hush hush, Darlin'. Don't want SMILE t'know..."
Bam didn't care much about telling anyone that he was a member of the Rebellion. What would happen? SMILE would catch him, again, and he'd escape, again... It really was just a boring cycle... A repetitive cycle of capture, escape, run... Bam sometimes wondered why he didn't just bomb SMILE... 'Because then the innocent inside would be injured...'
But who was really innocent anymore? Bam couldn't think of anyone who was. Everyone had their sins... Bam, himself, was a murderer, a thief and sometimes a little envious... Though, mostly envious of those people who could walk around the city and not have to worry about SMILE coming along and capturing them... But then again... The only people who would certainly be free, were SMILE members... Well... As free as anyone could be...
Shaking his thoughts away, Bam gulped down a mouthful of rum and looked at Spencer with a grin while putting an arm around his shoulders. "T'be honest, we should just bomb the whole place..." Bam spoke, not being exactly quiet, then burst out laughing... This wasn't the drink effecting him... It was just Bam being Bam again...
He sat back in his seat and sighed softly before sneezing and face planting the bar. Whoops...

Spencer fumbled for words as Bam spoke. The mere thought of a rebellion made his mind venture with a thousand possibilities; what he could accomplish while doing what he loved the most, and that was helping people. There was never a fleeting moment when he did not stoop to bring someone to their feet if they fell - metaphorically or otherwise. He loved to teach people that a little kindness in the kindest ways could go a long way, but he wasn't so sure that that's what these people needed. Nevertheless, it is always a necessity in life itself. It brings human beings together in a way that an organization like SMILE couldn't. Violence ends with violence. Peace ends with peace. That was his theory.
Spencer's index finger traced the top of his glass in continuous circular motions as he thought about the things he'd been told. Instead of being afraid, if that's what SMILE was trying to accomplish, Spencer felt not rebellious but compassionate and determined. "I see," he finally answered. He decided then that with this life where he is now, he would start anew and try new things. But also knew he didn't wish to be apart of the Rebellion. Just himself - or his new self with his new desires.
This time Spencer didn't try to hide the fact that he was looking at Bam. This time Spencer took the initiative. A romantic at heart he turned in his chair to take Bam's full attention, and if he succeeded, would lean forward taking his chin with his hands and kiss him lightly on the lips. Maybe not so much a meaningful gesture, but an array of his gentleness despite this pink haired boy's rashness.

Bam was leaning on the bar now, his cheek resting in his hand and his elbow on the table. He didn't know what Spencer was doing... In fact, he didn't know what Spencer was doing anything... Other than the answer that Bam got. Bam then glanced at Spencer to see what was going on, and saw the guy looking at him. Bam's hand that his cheek had previously been resting in dropped to the bar and Bam watched the guy.
When the man took Bam's chin in his hand, Bam wondered what was going to happen. He then felt the other guys lips on his and felt his breath hitch in his throat, mainly because he had no idea what was going on and his brain had kind of left him... He did, however, feel himself kissing back while Spencer's lips kept contact with Bam's and Bam faintly registered the fact that one of his hands was still holding onto the glass with the rum in.
Well... Wasn't this odd...?
((I'm assuming this is okay to do... considering you said 'if he succeeded' and he kinda succeeded... XD)

Spencer, though he was suspended in the kiss, let his hands drop from Bam's face. While his left hand cuffed the back of Bam's neck the other one searched for his hand that still held his glass. When he found it he pushed the glass away and grasped his hand to hold it in his lap. He found that he was being kissed back and decided to let it be just for a moment longer, reveling that it was the first time he'd ever kissed the same sex and it had succeeded.
Things were looking up. Then as if sound finally returned in his ears, he heard the bartender "ahem". Spencer broke from the kiss to look at the bartender still just inches away from Bam's face. "Yes?" He just shook his head, took their glasses and walked away. Spencer leaned on the bar looking down at his shoes now, a lopsided smile filling his features. What a crazy night.

Bam barely felt Spencer's hands moving but did suddenly find himself seeing the inside of his eyelids and realised that his eyes had closed. Bam heard the 'ahem', but didn't pay it any attention until Spencer pulled away and Bam's eyes opened and found their faces still very close. When Spencer moved to lean on the bar Bam crossed his arms on the bar and put his chin on his arms while watching the bartender.
The door of the bar opened and Bam glanced over his shoulder without much interest. If it was a SMILE member, then... Bleh. Something would happen... Bam had no idea what, but something would happen... And if it wasn't, then that was good...
Resting his chin back on his arms, Bam watched the bartender's reactions to the person for indications as to who the person who had just walked in was... Reading someone's body language was a great way to tell what was going on...

Spencer looked up from where he sat on his stool to see who entered the bar. Who seemed like a normal person could have been anyone now that he had learned so many things about this place. He wasn't nervous but felt even more alert now than never. As a drifter nobody paid much attention to you because they didn't particularly know you. But he had been here for the past couple of days, and without realizing it, had wandered into the extremities. Spencer didn't know whether to smile or to just let it slide. He began to resume his position in the stool to ask for another drink until he took a double take toward the window. Kilo was gone.
He shot up from where he stood. "Kilo. Kilo's gone." His whisper was teeming with desperate concern and most of all, curiosity. The person who had entered the bar was taking a seat near Bam and as Spencer looked back to tell Bam the news, the man was shooting a look of pleasure across his face - a very foul, smug look. Spencer's brow began to furrow when the man simply turned and ordered himself something. He took another look toward the door to see if his eyes had just been playing games with him but Kilo still wasn't there. If something had happened, wouldn't have Kilo made an attempt to at least bark?
His heart was beating faster now, all previous thoughts vanishing into the thin air of the bar. It felt like the walls were closing him in now and his lungs were fighting for air. Spencer again looked back at the man sitting at the bar with a puzzled expression, chest heaving. Now he knew something had happened to his dog because the man wasn't hiding it anymore. He'd gathered himself from the stool and started to walk toward him and all Spencer could do was flee from his standing point and out the door.

Bam heard Spencer's words, wondered who Kilo was then remembered and looked at Spencer as he didn't actually register fuck all... When the guy sat next to Bam, the sixteen year old shot the bloke a look of obvious dislike and, when he stood, Spencer legged it and Bam glanced at the bloke, his hand on his ray gun just in case, before following the other man, wondering what the hell anyone would want with a bloody dog...
Getting to the door, Bam walked through it purely out of curiousity as to what had happened, and moved out of the way of the door while watching Spencer. He didn't notice anything, due to the fact that he wasn't paying attention and didn't want to know anything before Spencer did. It was probably more that Bam loved being clueless about things than anything else...
Now a lot more alert than before, Bam looked up and down the road to make sure SMILE wasn't coming and made sure he could get his gun out quickly, should he need to, while thinking the same thing, over and over...
This night just got weirder and weirder.

(ooc: Okay, so I'm not sure how the SMILE vans look, so I'm just gonna wing it.)
Spencer hesitated only for a moment until he looked behind him, barely noticing that Bam had followed and seen the guy approaching the door as well with a grin like a cheshire cat. A white van was pulled up the sidewalk just across the street. The logo was hidden for there were no lights baring on the vehicle, but as he squinted his eyes harder to read it he could see that a smile was clearly on the side of it. The man was now lurking nearer and nearer and finally opened the door, a hand cupped at his waist like he was gonna pull something out. Spencer wasn't gonna wait to see what it was.
He high tailed it, running as fast as he could as he loudly called out his dog's name. Spencer heard a faint barking somewhere down the next alley and disappeared around the corner. It wasn't that he cared he was being chased be these varmints - he was more worried that he wouldn't find Kilo, though it did make him feel better that he could now pinpoint her location as she huddled behind a large dumpster. Spencer darted for her and collapsed against the shadows of the reeking thing next to him. He also wondered where Bam was or if the presumed SMILE employee had caught him. So he would wait a moment longer for him to show up as he clutched Kilo's collar, listening for the rapid tap of footsteps. If he didn't come, Spencer would have to check things out.

As soon as Spencer ran, Bam swore under his breath, drew his ray gun and shot the nearest SMILE member in the throat. He then legged it, having not seen where the other man had gone, and just settled for legging it as though his life depended on it... Which it probably did...
"Fuckin' brilliant... SMILE fuckers..." Bam growled as he ran, not looking over his shoulder and not looking around. As far as Bam knew, Spencer had ran for his life and Bam probably wouldn't see him again... Which the sixteen year old wasn't sure as to whether it was a good thing or a bad thing...
A near by ray gun shot lured Bam out of his thoughts and now Bam did look over his shoulder, to see a SMILE member jogging towards him, white gun trailed on him and Bam froze, staring at the guy, before firing a shot at the guy's knee and ducking into an alley and curling up against a wall, pressing his back against it and keeping his knees and ray gun close to his chest, which was rising and falling a little faster than before. He had no idea that it was the alley with Spencer in, and actually had been about to duck in front of the car opposite the alley, but, and Bam had no idea why, chose the alley instead... He supposed it was because alleyways were, generally, safer to get away from SMILE in and, what with the darkness, also easier to hide in.
Closing his eyes, Bam hoped that the guy hadn't seen where Bam was... That would suck, so badly, if he had seen where the red haired boy had gone... It really would.
"Please, for God sakes luck... You owe me..." He whispered, looking up at the sky and holding his breath when SMILE backup ran past the alley. He smiled and sighed, still rather clueless as to the company in the alley.

He was beginning to calm down until he heard shots being fired. Then the sound of running became louder. Spencer's breath got caught in his throat as he held it in hoping that one of the SMILE members hadn't come this way - or a thought even more horrible; that they were here because Bam didn't make it himself. He slowly lifted himself to a crouch as he let his breath out tediously then peeked around the dumpster. His eyes lit up when he seen Bam but he dared say nothing as a couple of the employees raced past. Finally everything fell quiet but that didn't mean it wasn't still dangerous. Spencer crept around the dumpster, wary of the dim light now revealing his face. "It's me," he called out as quietly as he could.

((Evil muse demon... Obviously... And same! *dives on*))
Bam jumped almost a foot in the air when Spencer spoke and his first thought was to point his gun at the voice, but then he realised it was Spencer and decided against threatening to kill him... It may just make a really bad second... Third? Whatever... A really bad impression. Instead, Bam looked at him, or rather, what he could see as being Spencer, and smiled.
"Thank fuck..." Bam almost laughed and checked that the SMILE members weren't coming back before standing and silently moving to the man. Bam felt the want to hug Spencer, but resisted the urge and, instead, just settled for keeping out of the light, though still with gun in hand, and looking at Spencer. "Did y'find Kilo?"
When all else fails, ask about the bloody dog.

Spencer was just too entirely relieved to see that Bam was safe he couldn't help but hug him, nearly stumbling as he did and pretty much just slammed Bam's back into the wall. "Oh, wow... I'm so sorry." He truly didn't mean to do that. Spencer just wanted a damn hug and ended up probably smashing the poor boy into the wall. He was almost half-expecting him to crumble like a cookie as he stared at him. And when he didn't, Spencer leaned up closer and put his hands on either side of Bam against the wall. He might've tried to do more than what he was about to but he didn't want to stick around too long, for surely he wouldn't be able to stop. Spencer was beginning to grow a lust for him with all his previous likings aside, but he stopped himself, smiled and settled for a return peck on his cheek like Bam had given him when they entered the bar. "Thanks for saving my ass," was all he could manage to say.

Bam squeaked silently when he found himself against the wall and wriggled before smiling and shaking his head. He didn't speak for a moment, for loss of what to say, before he realised that telling Spencer that it was alright would be a good start...
"D-Don't worry 'bout it." He grinned then watched as the other person as he moved closer. Bam found his tongue poking out to wet his lips softly before he saw the smile and felt the peck. He then grinned at Spencer's words and sighed softly, obviously jokingly, before speaking. "Eh, you owe me..." He shrugged, smiling now and ignoring the fact that he was basically staring at Spencer's lips and Bam wriggled a little before grinning. Now he wanted to do something else... He didn't care what, but he just wanted to do something, anything...
No, he did not want to do Spencer.
"What now, Captain?" He asked, putting one hand over his own eye and pretending to be a pirate, complete with very small 'Arrr', which made Bam giggle somewhat hysterically before he stopped and raised his eyebrows in expectation.
