Bam was bored as he walked through the city... And a white SMILE van pulled up next to Bam. Looking at the van, Bam decided that he was bored of walking, and of generally not being a pest to the Institute, and so he shot the SMILE member in the neck, squirting blood on the windscreen and pulled the guy out of the van. His pal tried to stop Bam, and so the sixteen year old drew a knife and slashed the guy's throat quickly before pushing him out of the van, closing the doors, and speeding down the road. The guy who he'd slashed the throat of was lying in the middle of the road, bleeding and gurgling, while the other guy was dead already...
Sometimes, Bam could be just like an assassin.
However, he was driving quickly, and not really paying attention to the road... So he went straight into a small wall. Bam had no idea that he'd just crashed into the graveyard, and only realised once he'd jammed the driver's side door open enough to get out and he was stood just inside the small wall...
"Damn." He mumbled and looked at the van... That was when he noticed that the vehicle had actually broken the bit of wall that it had crashed into...
Whoops.

Tabitha sat next to one of the tombstones in the cemetery. It was unusual, but she didn't care. It seemed like the only place to get peace and quiet was the cemetery. She closed her eyes and let the breeze hit her. Today was a nice day, besides the fact that it was a little chilly. Slowly, Tabitha lowered her head back to her book and read. The words processed through her mind like she was watching a movie. It was calm... peaceful, she could hear the faint sound of birds..
A crashing sound interrupted Tabitha's "reading" time. Startled, she jumped, and immediately got up, feeling cautious. She knew the rebels roamed freely and carelessly in these areas, and she didn't blame him. Maybe it's dad... Curious, Tabitha walked to where she heard the crash. Finally, she saw it, and him. The girl smiled warmly to herself. She hadn't talked to anyone all day besides her mom. This should be fun. She patted her pocket instinctively to check to see if the cigarettes were still there. They were. But she only had four left. What a bummer.
"Damn."
She heard his voice. It was nice for a guy's. Although, she couldn't tell how old he was. It doesn't matter. "Hey!" She yelled to him, hoping he was just as talkative as he was wild. She walked up to him and noticed that the wall was somewhat broken. "Damn is right. That's some damage." She laughed, and looked back at him. She gave him a quick smile and nodded her head in greeting. "I'm Tabitha."

Hearing a 'hey', Bam assumed that he'd get had ago at and looked at the girl.
"Wasn't me." He said dumbly out of habit of saying it at school all the time before SMILE took over... But then again, that was slightly different... He used to set fire to other kids' clothes then say that it wasn't him. It was always more fun...
The girl continued talking and Bam wriggled his eyebrows before hearing her name. Bam grinned. Thank fuck she wasn't a SMILE member...
"Am Bam." He told her, grin growing wider and wider until it seemed almost unnatural. His lips flopped back into a small grin and he stretched his arms above his head, obviously restless... Well, when you steal a van out of boredom, it's pretty much obvious that you're restless, it's just a case of how restless...
Standing on the wall now, out of complete, unstoppable boredom, Bam looked around. "Nice place."

"Wasn't me."
Tabitha giggled at the boy's humor. He reminded her of her puppy Sammy. She thought about Sammy, and regretted leaving him at home. Oh, well. Mom will keep him company. Even as she thought it, she felt restless. Paranoid thoughts clouded her mind about her mom getting drunk and beating the poor thing. Tabitha would have thought more about it if it hadn't been for the boy's grin. She narrowed her eyes skeptively. He seemed... Odd. She gave him a fake giggle, in attempt not to be rude. He was creeping her out... Just a little.
"Am Bam."
The name didn't even process, she was so curious about his weird look. He's just... a kid. "How old are you?" She asked, without thinking, and crossed her arms over her chest. He made her feel uneasy, like wherever he went trouble followed. But that could be fun... She surveyed the idea in her head, and yet again her thoughts were interrupted by the boy's voice.
"Nice place."
This time Tabitha laughed hysterically. She didn't know why it was so funny. It was probably the way he said it, but she didn't know for sure. But the fact that a cemetary was nice... Not many people say that. It usually creeps 'em out. "Dude," She said, trying to stifle her laughing. "It's a cemetary. More depressin' than nice." Her old southern accent kicked in by accident. It happened every now and then. But it's been years since I've been to the United States.. The fact that the boy found this place "nice" made Tabitha ease up a little. Maybe he wasn't so bad. Naturally, Tabitha looked at her hand and noticed the book. She smiled. She had forgotten the real reason she came here. "Ya know... It's nice cause it's quiet." She said, barely above a whisper.
With that thought in mind, Tabitha grabbed a cigarette, and took the lighter out of its usual holding place (her bra), and lit it. She breathed out the smoke and smiled. "What brings ya out here rebel?" She asked in a teasing way. Thoughts of her dad surrounded her mind. She wondered if this boy knew her father..

Bam grinned at her saying it was a cemetery. Really? He hadn't noticed, what with the graves and all that... She then continued to talk and Bam waited until she'd finished talking before deciding that he had no interest in answering her question about his age, and only then did he register what her last question had been...
"An' how d'you know that am a Rebel?" He asked, his voice half filled with suspicion, only now realising where she'd gotten her lighter from and Bam smirked before grinning and stretching his arms over his head. He had heard her accent, and wondered if she'd noticed his New Jersey one... Probably not... People didn't tend to notice a lot about him... Other than his hair...

Tabitha studied Bam more, not even bothering to mention that he didn't answer her question about his age. I'll just find out later. She looked him up and down, that could possibly be mistaken for checking him out, but she didn't care. People could think what they wanted, Tabitha didn't mind it. The only person who really knows you, is yourself. No one else matters.
"An' how d'you know that am a Rebel?"
Tabitha widened her eyes a little at Bam's reaction, but soon smirked. She loved how she was making him suspicious of her. It was amusing. "Please, Bam." She said in a are-you-freakin'-kidding-me tone. "What person would randomly drive a van into a wall? I'm pretty sure citizens wouldn't do that, and I am positive that a SMILE operative wouldn't. So that leaves only rebels." She rambled, not caring what he thought of her over-talking habits. She smiled at him in a friendly way as he stretched. He made her curious about rebels. Are they all like this?
Without thinking, Tabitha climbed up on the wall with him. His age was really bothering her. He looked older, but she couldn't be too sure. Tabitha decided to go with instinct and studied him more. If she asked again she would seem persistant, and she didn't wanna come off that way to someone she barely knew. Tabitha took a hit of her cigarette and then smirked at him. "You didn't answer my question." She said, "What are you doing out here?" Tabitha turned to the crashed van and motioned towards it. "Is this how rebels entertain themselves?" She humored him.

Bam shrugged at her reason.
"If I was a citizen, I'd crash a van... Mainly 'cause citizens wouldn't get killed on the spot for joy ridin'." He told her, he then heard her words and smirked at her. He cupped her cheek with his hand. "If I told you, then you'd expect an answer about my age as well." He grinned and slapped her cheek three times softly. He then put his hands on his hips and turned his head to looked around, watching out for SMILE members...
Bam was actually kind of sick and tired of looking around for SMILE... It was starting to annoy him that he needed to constantly look for them... But, as Bam reminded himself in his thoughts, he wouldn't give up being a Rebellion member... He found it fun... Other people didn't, though... But Bam did... Probably because he liked to murder and steal... As evident from the crashed vehicle...

Tabitha blushed as he smacked her cheek lightly. She wasn't used to be touched like that. Sure, she got drunk and messed around, but if a guy decided to touch her she would make sure they couldn't. She didn't know why, but it just seemed like instinct.
"If I told you, then you'd expect an answer about my age as well."
The girl giggled slightly, and looked at him. She noted how he kept looking around. Yep, totally a rebel. "Well then, let's see.." She said, and thought for a moment. "You could tell me, and then when you tell me your age, I'll just cover my ears like this." Tabitha giggled, and demonstrated covering her ears with her hands, playfully.

Bam grinned at her covering her heads and covered her hands while they covered her ears. He then pretended to tell her why he was there while she couldn't hear. He then stopped pretending and pulled his hands away before pouting thoughtfully.
"An' also, am jus' a li'l bored..." He shrugged and his grin grew wider. He then stretched his arms above his head and glanced around before looking at her. "Yer between me an' that van..." He said slowly, as though only just registering this. He then laughed and petted her on the head, though didn't say anything.

Tabitha's smile grew larger when he covered his owns hands over hers. He's fun. She knew that it was a stupid idea, but said it anyway. It created conversation, and she liked that. When he pulled his hands away, she let her own drop back down to her sides.
"An' also, am jus' a li'l bored..."
Tabitha nodded, she could understand that. Well, except for the part of crashing a van for no apparent reason besides the fact that he was bored. But, she could understand that those things could be the cause of being bored. Been there, done that... Except not with a van.
"Yer between me an' that van..."
She narrowed her eyes in confusion when he said that. As he petted her head, her confusion only thickened. "What's your point?" She asked curiously. Tabitha turned around slightly and looked at the van again. Does he not like talking to me? Shrugging slightly, Tabitha ignored the thought. She didn't care. It's wasn't as if they would become best friends and talk all the time.. As far as she knew.

Bam smirked at her obvious confusion and put his arms around her waist before throwing her over his shoulder and holding her legs to make sure she didn't fall. He then began giggling hysterically and he skipped to the van while on the wall. He didn't consider that she may not want to go anywhere, and paused before getting to the van before looking at her... Or rather, looking at her side because he couldn't see her face.
"My, ah, point... S'that," He put her down and grinned. "when I say shit like that, it normally means am gunna pick you up." He told her, grin widening, and he continued to watch her. "So yah, it's jus' a warning, Sweetie." He smirked and hugged her before deciding that he was bored and beginning to try and dance with her.
When in doubt of what to do, dance with random people. Always going to work.

Tabitha gasped slightly as Bam slung her over his shoulder. Then, started to laugh. She hadn't had this much fun in awhile, and was beginning to really like hanging out with this boy. His touch wasn't awkward anymore, more like little boy playful. I wonder if this is what little brothers are like.. Of course Tabby wouldn't know, she was an only child.
"My, ah, point... S'that," "when I say shit like that, it normally means am gunna pick you up."
The blonde laughed yet again. Interesting. She met his eyes as he watched her, without saying anything. Truth was, she didn't know what to say to such an interesting act.
"So yah, it's jus' a warning, Sweetie."
Yet again, Tabitha laughed. "Well, shouldn't warnings be a little more obvious?" She teased, and stuck her tongue out. Okay, yeah, she was flirting a little. But that was how she was. So what if he was a little younger?
With that thought in mind, Tabitha didn't expect the hug. And then especially, the dancing. Confused, but yet laughing at the same time, she tried her best to not dance in an awkward way. "Ya know, you're a whole bunch of fun. Did ya know that?" She said. Tabitha looked down at her hand then, remembering that she still had her cigarette. It had ashed all the way up. "Damn." She muttered, and flicked it away. It was a total waste of her cigarette. Only three left now. She needed to save up money to buy a new pack.

Bam shook his head at her question and did notice the tongue, but had then hugged and danced with her, so he didn't do much in response... At least, not for a moment... After he heard her question about him knowing that he was fun (to which his mind went into the gutter), Bam licked her cheek, cackled madly and spun the pair in a number of circles, giggling.
"Of course I know am fun." He put his lips to her ear, grinning insanely as he did so. "Otherwise, I wouldn't be meeee." He ended up with his voice going high pitched and giggled, the sound not one you'd expect from a sixteen year old who tends to laugh or shout rather than giggle... And yet, here he was, giggling, rather high pitched...
And oddity... Much like the boy himself...

Tabitha giggled and blushed slightly as he licked her cheek. Who does that? She attempted to push him away, but spinning her circles made it pretty difficult to do so. She was getting very dizzy, but ignored that fact. Having this much fun with a rebel wasn't something she expected. So, she might as well enjoy it, right?
"Of course I know am fun. Otherwise, I wouldn't be meeee."
Touching his lips to her ear wasn't something Tabitha expected. But, of course, nothing he did was expected by her. As he let out a high pitched squeal, Tabitha flinched. Yet again, not expected the loud noise. She backed up from him and rubbed her ears, but still giggling insanely. "Hyper much?" She said, still rubbing her ears. Tabitha looked up then, and cocked her head to the side. "You know. We should do something fun." She suggested, and thought about what they could do. Get drunk? No, they couldn't do that, he was underaged. Well, he might not be, but she didn't know that. Keeping the thought in mind, she stayed silent, waiting to hear what he would suggest.

Bam shook his head at her first words. He wasn't hyper, he was Bam. Bam was a tad bit bi-polar. It wasn't his fault, it's just how he was. He would jump from completely insane to calm, or from sad to hyper. Sometimes it would be in the course of a few minutes, other times in a course of a few weeks. How he was depended mostly on the mood he woke up in... Or what kind of day it was for his... Assumed disorder.
She then spoke and Bam shrugged.
"What I find fun, an' what you find fun are two completely different thin's, Sweetie." He told her and tapped her cheek twice before moving over to the van, getting inside it, and shutting the door. He then smashed the window open and leant out of it. "Unless you like blowin' shit up and startin' fires." He told her, grinning madly before attempting to start the engine.
The van wouldn't start, so Bam pouted, looked around, and jammed the door open again before jumping out. "An' now I- ah- need a new van..." He pouted again, crossed his arms, then linked arms with Tabitha and began dragging her off, grinning. "C'mon, we're gunna go SMILE huntin'... At least for a new van."
Of course, he didn't mean that they'd have to kill... Bam was very good at knocking SMILE members unconscious... He was also very good at getting into trouble, so maybe it wasn't a good idea to drag the Citizen along? Eh, whatevs, if they got caught then Bam would take the blame and she'd be free to go... Then Bam would fucking leg it.

"What I find fun, an' what you find fun are two completely different thin's, Sweetie."
Tabitha's mouth gaped open. It was like he could read her mind. Then she blushed, when she realized what she was thinking before. I'm an idiot. She watched him tap her cheek twice, with yet again, confusement, and listened to him talk about "blowin' shit up". Of course she had never done that before, she had never been given the chance. First time for everything, I guess.
She then watched him try to start the van. It was amusing. Amusing enough for Tabitha to stand there obnoxiously laughing at him and his immaturity. But, the immaturity part wasn't a bad thing. She liked that about him. Made him different.
"C'mon, we're gunna go SMILE huntin'... At least for a new van."
For the hundreth time (obviously exaggerated) since being with Bam, Tabitha was cut off guard. SMILE hunting? She'd never done that before either. Sure, she had stolen a car, not necessarily a van though. Being a rebel seemed less appealing to her all a sudden. It seemed like a lot of work. But less responsibility. Instead of debating over that, she laughed at Bam's confidence. She also had confidence, but none like this. "And when we get arrested? What will you do then?" She joked, being half dragged by him. Yet again, she stuck out her tongue in a joking matter.
Tabitha looked at the sky then. It was getting dark. Much easier to steal a van I guess.. Slowly, she closed her eyes while Bam dragged her to wherever they were going. The breeze that hit her face felt nice. Smiling, she opened her eyes and looked at Bam. "So where are we going, Mr I-like-to-blow-things-and-crash-vans?" She asked him, only being half serious.

Bam looked at her, knowing she was joking, and shrugged in fake thought. He then looked as though he was, actually, thinking about it before he gave his answer.
"Leg it?" He asked before grinning and shaking his head to tell her that he wasn't being serious. "You," He poked her stomach. "would be allowed to leg it." He told her, still half-dragging her along. She then continued talking, and he heard her question. He shrugged. "Where is a good place to find SMILE?" He asked her, expecting that anyone would know the answer. It wasn't exactly a difficult question to answer...
Now trying to move a little faster, probably dragging her a little more, Bam tightened his arm so that she couldn't pull away, and also so that they didn't get separated. "We're goin' t'the ciiity." He told her, singing the answer and skipping as he moved.

Tabitha thought about it. She really didn't know where to find SMILE, to be honest. Most likely because she never looked for them. Nothing drove her to do that. And she never thought about why. "They're kinda random.." She answered, hoping his question about SMILE wasn't a rhetorical one. She then squinted her eyes in confusement, facing nothing in particular, when he mentioned legging it. What does he mean? She thought about it, and no answers came, so ignored what he said, she could always ask later... When the time to "leg it" comes. Maybe he met run..
"We're goin' t'the ciiity."
Tabitha's arm was starting to hurt, and when he squeezed it tighter that only made it worse, but she didn't say or do anything to make it obvious. She'd live, and that was all that mattered. But the mention of the city made her heart quicken. Even though her mom stayed in the house drinking all day, she would usually go to town to get more alcohol, or to hang out with some friends. She wasn't a complete loner... And this was usually the time she liked to do that stuff. Tabitha felt paranoid all a sudden. If she ran into her mom, she would also recognize that Bam was a rebel.. Tabitha would be in so much trouble.. But, maybe she wouldn't. She never knew.
Deciding to not worry about it, Tabitha planted a fake smile on her face, that was convincing enough. She did that often, so it was believable.

Bam looked at her, paused, and now looked behind her. There was a van. A big, white van... A big, white van with a black smiling face on it with the letters S, M, I, L, E under the face in big capital letters and 'Institutes' under the SMILE in their usual print for that part of their logo.
"Nevermind... Found one..." He dropped her arm, sounding distracted, pulled out his blue bandanna that had white stars and the D that made him look happy and he put it on before looking at her. He then looked at the van. This was too good of an opportunity to pass up. "I would say sorry for this, but I promise that you won't get hurt." He told her put an arm around her waist and pull her towards him, though so that her back was against his chest. He then began walking towards the van.
The SMILE members inside didn't see them, at first, until Bam shot the door of the van.
"Get out and she won't get hurt." He yelled at them. They both seemed to panic and Bam rolled his eyes. "No one ever fuckin' listens..." He mumbled and moved forward before pointing his yellow ray gun at her neck and making sure his finger wasn't on the trigger. There was no way she would be hurt by him. He had no way to hurt her. "I said, you stupid, pathetic excuses for human bein's, get the fuck out of the van, and she won't die." He told them loudly. The younger of the pair fell out of the passenger side door, and the other member looked at them before nodding.
"Oh-Okay." He stuttered and stumbled out of the van. Bam moved forward, actually being quite gentle considering he was supposed to be threatening her life... He then stopped at the door closest them, the driver's side door, and whispered in her ear:
"Get in, move across. Once we're out of the way of these two, I'll let you out. Promise."
While he waited for her to move, Bam pointed his ray gun at the SMILE members. "I should shoot the pair of you." He snarled at them, acting a lot angrier than he actually was. "But I'm lettin' you live... For now..."
The pair looked like they were crapping themselves...

Tabitha followed Bam's gaze behind them, only to spot a SMILE van. Her stomach flipped. She didn't have a good feeling about this. Before she had time to say something Bam was telling her she wouldn't get hurt and then was holding her in a hostage position. What the fuck? Once Tabitha shot the window, she decided to go along with it. Her heart was racing, she felt midlly uncomfortable, but if stealing a van was this important to Bam, she decided to go with it.
She decided this was best chance she had for practicing her acting. When she younger she remembered staring in musicals and plays, and even when she moved she did so. Tabitha wanted to smile, but couldn't. She had to play the scared hostage. Before she put on her best frightened look, Bam stuck the gun to her neck. Real fear then pulsed through Tabitha. She didn't need to act this time. Sure, he told her that he wouldn't hurt her... But she didn't trust people. How could she forget that? Tabitha gulped, hoping Bam wouldn't notice she was actually scared. But, being as scared as she was, she didn't notice that his finger wasn't on the trigger. That would have relaxed her more if she knew that, obviously.
She watched the SMILE members, the cowardly SMILE members, stumble out of the van. Even if she was in danger, she doubted those two would care. All they cared about was their own pathetic lives.
"Get in, move across. Once we're out of the way of these two, I'll let you out. Promise."
Tabitha blinked in surprise. But then raided her mind of surprised thoughts. Why would she be surprised? He was only pretending the whole time... But, Tabitha still was frightened. Even if this "game" or whatever they should call it was just a game. Tabitha sighed, and did as she was told. Man, did she need a cigarette... Once she got acros she looked at Bam, well not really look, but more like glare. She was probably overreacting, but she couldn't help it. Bam just fake threatened her! Who did that?! Obviously, some rebels. Tabitha made sure she was out of the SMILE people's view, and pulled out a cigarette. For an occasion such as this, it was necessary. She pulled out her lighter from her bra and lit it, and rested her forehead on the dashboard, hoping to look disturbed beyond repair just in case the SMILE operatives saw her. Was this acceptable for you Bam? Did I pull it off with you PRETENDING TO KILL ME? Those kind of thoughts kept appearing in her head. She knew it was stupid. She should just say them aloud, but she couldn't with the SMILE operatives just outside the van. Tabitha took a drag of her cigarette. Not even it was helping her calm down..
To make him hurry up, Tabitha tapped lightly on the dashboard with her finger. She couldn't stand being her much longer. She couldn't stand not being able to yell at him yet. In her head she prepared a huge yelling lecture for him that probably would mean nothing in his ears.
